I am older, so I remember when Slim Shady was an emcee, but now he just seems to shout-rap all his little angry stories.  He is probably influencing a whole new generation of shout-rappers out there that are all pissed off that their X-Box broke and there moms won't buy them a new one, or their grandmothers won't give them a ride to Target for more Magic The Gathering cards. 

Awful Song of the Day 04/28/2012: Jason DeRulo- Don't Wanna Go Home

If you like the Banana Boat Song from Beetlejuice, but feel it could use some auto-tuning to make it even more annoying, than this is the song for you. 

Upon trying to find this song, it turns out this guy has recorded a bunch of horrible hit songs in only two years.  His "Ridin' Solo" has already been on the blog, and I sure the rest of the two albums he has made so far will show up as well.

I came across this song while reading a book about the early days of MTV.  They talk about how awful the video was, but the song was pretty bad to begin with, so there really wasn't much they could do with it.

Milli Vanilli gets a lot of shit for being fake, but so are a lot of musical artist.  They don't get enough shit for having crappy songs.

The twin brother that isn't the singer is pretty scary looking, and these guys are about as punk rock as a blue light special at K-Mart for 25% of all window treatments.

Awful Song of the Day 04/14/2012: Kiss- Heaven's on Fire

When I was a kid, I kept hearing from the older kids how cool Kiss was.  This was the song I kept hearing on the radio or MTV.  I just didn't get what the appeal was.  I guess if I had access to older stuff I might have found them more interesting, but I probably would have heard Beth and just been more confused as to why Kiss was considered cool.
